WHO WE ARE
Nicholas Zappia
Director
Altittura Architects was founded by Nicholas Zappia, a registered architect (NSWARB 11135) with a long-standing commitment to thoughtful, disciplined design. With more than 18 years experience across Sydney’s architectural landscape, Nicholas has shaped projects that range from finely crafted homes to complex mixed-use and commercial developments.
Graduating from the University of New South Wales with both a Bachelor of Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture, Nicholas was awarded the Margot and Neville Gruzman Award for Urban Design — an early recognition of his sensitivity to place, proportion, and the human experience of architecture.
Across nearly two decades, he has developed a reputation for balancing clarity of thought with technical depth, guiding projects from concept to construction with precision and care. His work spans high-end residential, multi-unit housing, industrial and warehouse spaces, and commercial environments, each approached with the same disciplined attention to detail and collaborative spirit.
Nicholas first established his practice as NDZ Architects, where he quickly earned a strong reputation for work defined by creativity, precision, and a deep understanding of client needs. Today Altittura Architects represents the evolution of this ethos, carrying forward the same commitment to clarity, discipline, and an enduring respect for the craft of building.
Anthony Vecchio
Architectural Technician
Anthony brings over 15 years of industry experience, shaped by a comprehensive academic foundation, having graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Architecture from the University of Technology Sydney. Having worked with leading architectural and design studios across Sydney, Anthony has developed broad expertise across residential, commercial, and large-scale master planning projects.
As a key member of the Altiturra Architects team, Anthony contributes to a collective depth of knowledge and design intelligence, helping to deliver thoughtful, high-performance architecture defined by clarity, innovation, and a client-first philosophy.
